WeeTracker reports that Tunisian bike-hailing startup, InTiGo, and Nigerian bus-hailing-service Plentywaka suspended operations as more Coronavirus cases were confirmed on the continent.
InTiGo which has since pivoted to delivery, however, said it will continue to operate its bike-hailing service between 6 pm and 12 am to support essential workers like nurses and the police.
WeeTracker adds that this hasn’t been a great year for e-hailing startups on the African continent as they have also been hit by other harsh realities.
